so i was sitting here thinking for a bit... and then i realised.

one may wonder why i don't post. like many, it's because i'm either cbf or i don't have enough time to =/
most of the time, though, it's because i'm inundated with so much maths homework that i have to do it every night to barely stay up to date... sigh. schoolwork is my life right now. it's sad to admit it, but yes, i have to. like really, i should be deactivating my facebook sometime in order to ensure more productivity...
i'm trying to think of an idea for a story atm... i want to do my story asap so that i have time to make notes...
enough of my life. how are you? did you have a good day today? i most certainly hope you did. because mine wasn't that great, yknow? although i liked how i had company on the bus today for once :) yay.

right now, things are going extremely oddly in the andreev house.
my dad and my brother are not here.
the house is perhaps in the biggest mess it's been in all of the time we've lived here.
my mum is consistently shouting at me for no reason.
i am being really lazy recently.
about two days ago the hot water pipe exploded and i have been unable to have a shower since. OWNED, METHINKS ==
i hope you guys are having fun, and looking forward to monday for prefect stuff. REMEMBER, IT'S STUDY SKILLS THAT DAY.

wow I haven't blogged in a while, huh?
today was a nice day. i talked to lots of people today, and it's cool to see how everyone is taking prefect elections seriously, but it's pretty clear to me that not everyone is on the same page as each other when it comes to it. this is a note by eka on fb which i 100% agree with regarding prefect elections.
"DO vote for people you want representing YOU
DO vote for people who will be 100% committed to their role
DO vote for people who respect our school, who are proud to be there
DO vote for people who you think deserve it
DON'T vote for people because they'll "vote for you" also
DON'T vote for people who can't give you a reason they want to be prefect other than a catchy slogan OR "I'm Awesome"
DON'T vote for people who want the TITLE and not the ROLE
DON'T vote for people as a "joke"
The Prefect Body is meant to represent not only our grade, but our school and so it is important that you think carefully before voting.
There are possibly 100+ people in our grade who could easily fulfill the duties and role of a Prefect. How do you choose who to vote for? Vote for someone who you think will not only be a good leader but ALSO will contribute something to the body and to the school. When we graduate, we want a Prefect body that will be REMEMBERED.
Can't remember the other Prefects from previous years? I'm sure they all were very good Prefects. They just weren't very connected with the school and failed to leave their mark behind.
E.G We ALL know who Tristan Hardy is. He was a School Captain WELL before our time but we still hear stories about him and that particular group of Prefects.
Remember, you don't have to vote for 24 people.
Other than that, good luck to everyone who wishes to be selected. I will be there in Period 6 voting like the rest of you and waiting for the results on Monday morning. Hopefully, the selected Prefect body will be efficient and enthusiastic. Fingers crossed ;D"
i think everyone should keep these things in mind when voting tomorrow. obviously, everyone who wants it won't get it, but best of luck as it is! have fun tomorrow :)

at the crux of everything, noone really cares. noone is really a selfless person. often times, when people do something claiming to be selfless, or something of the sort, it's not really selfless. it may SOUND, or LOOK like it, but it isn't, really. when someone tells you that they help other people, you may THINK they're selfless, and you ask them why. they may tell you some cheese along the lines of "because it makes me feel better". doesn't this just say that they're doing it for their own benefit? when you study, when you want to get really good in the hsc, is it really because you want to "pull our school up"? no, it's because you want to get your degree, do what you want with it, and have a good life? often, people use so called "selfless" motives to cover up for their true selfishness.
i may just be angry right now, but i still think there are reasons why people want to be selfless. is it because they want to improve their image, their reputation? is it because they have some ulterior motive? is it something else? i think so. behind everything someone does, says, thinks, there is a reason. there is a motive. a selfish motive, at that. can you think of something that you've HONESTLY done, for someone else, for no reason? getting that thank you, getting the appreciation of others, often, that's what people want. sometimes, they want much more. god knows. but in the end, a monetary price on needing something done may be selfish; but at the same time, a price, which money can't pay for, on needing something done is also selfish.

i think everyone is glad that THAT essay is over now. ALSO, I WAS NOT WRITING THAT FAST, JUST COS MY PEN MADE SOME GINORMOUS NOISE DOES NOT MEAN THAT I WAS WRITING AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT, ONLY ILLEGIBLY.
also, recent times have heralded the return of "don't worry, it's only year 11, it doesn't count". i hear this from time to time, and every time i do, i think, "sigh, how can you think that?"
it may not really count towards anything (EXCEPT PERHAPS YOUR REPORT), but that's no reason to be cbf or give it your best shot. you should live for the moment, not in the past, like some people do, dwelling on their marks, and ESPECIALLY not in the future.
you know why?
cos if you don't live in the present and live in the future, eventually, the future's just gonna pass you by.
